November Read Aloud Books & Activities

Once the Month of November comes you’re still trying to come down from all the events in October. That’s why I’ve compiled all of my favorite read-aloud books for the season and month!

National Author’s Day is November 1st and it’s a great time to motivate our scholars to celebrate their writing and encourage their imaginations! We know that the authors we celebrate the most are the STUDENTS we teach! Students love to write but often are not always able to come up with an idea to write.

Here is one of my favorite writing activities to add to your writing stations:

Fall Writing Prompt Activities

The month of November has so many different themes to write about. This resource includes a set of 9 writing prompts and 46 slides in total with directions.

Balloons Over Broadway Book Companion

The Thanksgiving Holiday would not be complete without the read-aloud book Balloons Over Broadway! I am literally jumping over the moon thinking about watching this year’s Macy’s Parade on Thanksgiving Day. A sure way to educate your scholars about the Macy’s Parade is my Balloons Over Broadway Book Companion.

Introduce your students to each activity attached to this resource:

KWL Chart, Story Vocab, Character Trait, Story Mapping, Compare and Contrast, Poppy Flower Craft, Favorite Parts of the Story, Writing, Writing Craft, Story Wordsearch, Reading Comprehension, and Book Review.

Our Table Book Companion & STEM Project

Our students love tinkering around and creating so introducing them to the book Our Table by author Peter H. Reynolds is the way to go! A sure way to help spark your student’s imaginations with STEM is by building their very own table just like Violet in the story.
